In Ann Arbor, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Michigan, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

The listed phone number is (734) 822-2200. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is merawperiodontics.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Ann Arbor is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ann Arbor follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dr Meraw and his assistant Andrea were awesome! I see why my dentist always recommends him for difficult dental issues. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful. They minimize any experience of pain.

1. The receptionists at the front desk were very welcoming 2. Waiting time before cleaning was very short (less then 3 minutes) 3. The dental hygenist did a great job cleaning my teeth (little or no pain despite not having my teeth cleaned for 9 months).

Love this place! Dr. Meraw did a soft tissue graft for me a couple of months before my wedding and it healed beautifully. Everyone on the staff that I met is so sweet and so personable. I highly recommend!

My experience at Ann Arbor Periodontics, on June 19, 2026, with having my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist, Kim, who works for Dr. Stephen Meraw, DDS, MS, was simply extraordinary. Her extreme passion and expertise for going beyond cleaning was phenomenal. The tools and cutting-edge technology she used is unmatched. Her detailed explanations for her work were incredible. Never before have I had my teeth cleaned to this exceptional extent. I am a very satisfied dental patient. 😎 Respectfully, Marcus L. Sims In addition to the above post, on Thursday, August 27, 2026 @ 9:20 AM, again Dr. Stephen Meraw, D.D.S., M.S. was an exceptional dental surgeon, and his supporting team/staff phenomenal, in performing my dental 🦷 surgery. They have a professional magic of making you feel special, lowering your blood pressure, and feeling no pain during the surgery. Again, a very satisfied dental patient. Respectfully, Marcus L. Sims

Today I went for a cleaning with a new hygienist, I was nervous, however, Kim addressed my fears and treated me accordingly. I had the best experience ever, she has a soft touch with the instruments but was very thorough. I was so relieved. Her efficiency and lovely personality will put me at ease for the next visit!

I have been a patient here for i believe over 20 years. The team here is very professional and courteous. My heartfelt thanks goes out to Laurie! She has been my hygienist since day one and has helped me immensely with my periodontal care. I can't thank her enough.

I have been going to this practice for years. Dr Sorensen was kind, gentle, skillful and emphatic as were the rest of the staff. Dr. Mera took over this practice and everything has changed. Dr. Mera has never used my name which I think is a small thing to ask considering in just the last year my husband and I have paid him $10,000. The front desk staff has also never used my name. My name is used only to call me out of the waiting room. Dr. Mera seems uninterested in my comfort or concerns. Even though my last appointment was a quick procedure it was as painful of a visit as I’ve had. Unless there was a medical reason not to use a topical anesthesia I believe it would have made a difference. Furthermore in the last few years I have not been able to get appointments for cleanings with my preferred hygienist. I have been told to go to my regular dentist for cleanings when I specifically need to have deep cleanings because of periodontal disease.
